Meet Dr. Sun Kim

Dr. Sun Kim has been practicing dentistry since 1999. She is a California and North East Regional Board certified dentist trained at Columbia University School of Oral Surgery and Dentistry. After earning her DDS degree in 1999, she moved on to the general practice residency at Hackensack Medical Center where she handled emergency cases and treated children, adults, elderly, and mentally challenged patients. Before dental school, Dr. Kim earned a BS degree in Chemistry at University of California at Berkeley. As a graduate of Palos Verdes High School (Class of 1985), Dr. Kim is delighted to be back in the South Bay area to serve her home community.

Before returning to South Bay, Dr. Kim practiced family and cosmetic dentistry in New York and New Jersey until 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she practiced in Seoul, Korea. While practicing in the renowned Ye Dentistry Group in Seoul, she treated many celebrity patients and entertainers that are highly demanding when it comes to cosmetic condition of their teeth. She performed all tooth color restorations including veneers, all ceramic crowns, all ceramic fillings for celebrities and entertainers. While in Korea, she also served as an adjunct professor of dentistry at Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital.
